MR16 (GU5.3) LED light bulbs. Most modern residential homes in Australia will utilise either an MR16 or GU10 50W dichroic halogen light bulbs in their ceiling downlights. We offer a near identical replacement that produces a very similar light and looks very similar to your traditional halogen bulb. 

Energy and Thermal Efficiency. Our LED MR16 and GU10 bulbs are an ideal replacement with an electricity saving of 75% to 90% depending on the configuration and a reduction in heat generation of up to 80%. That means as little as one tenth of the usual electricity bill for running your lights and up to 30% saving on your air conditioning electricity usage due to the reduction in heat. This also eliminates the risk of fires which arise due to halogen lighting. 

Long Life. With a life span of greater than 30,000 to 40,000 hours at 70% brightness our LED downlight bulbs last up to 20 times longer than a traditional 2000 hour 50W halogen bulb. That is potentially "light for life". 

Transformer Compatability. The MR16 LED light bulbs are compatible with most 50W electronic halogen 12VAC downlight transformers. You can check our list attached to each MR16 LED light bulb type or mail your electronic transformer to us and we will test it for you.

Fixture Compatability. An important factor to check is the shape of the housing in your existing downlight fixtures. Some will require you to select our low profile LED MR16 or GU10 downlight bulbs as the longer bulbs with the larger heat sinks will not fit. Alternatively you can purchase one of our LED downlights which will replace your existing fixture.
